If you are looking for mind blowing graphics or buttom mashing, Word Puzzle for Xbox 360 Live is not for you. However, if you are looking for a game that will work your mind and reflexes then keep on reading.

First off, the stats, 800 Points cost ( $10.00 ) and 55 MB of space is what Word Puzzle will cost you.

Word Puzzle is a XBlive take on the find a word in the middle of other words kind of game, you know the kinds that you used to see grandma play in the back of the newspaper??? Seriously, grandma would be proud to see that you can have fun and a mental workout at the same time :P ( btw use that line to get your parents to pony up the $10 to buy this ).

The Single Player mode has three gameplay types:

Arcade Mode

Ok, so this mode pretty much gives you the basic grid of letters with a list of words on the left side that you will have to find before the game timer (on the right side, looks like a themometer ) emptys. Getting a word before the move timer (look to the top left next to your score and profile picture) builds up your combo counter. The game is kind enough to highlight the first or last letter of the word on the grid, as well as highlighting the word on the list, which helps you find what you need to do next. Note: You can select other words if you see them, which can improve your combo count and builds up the game timer. Play continues until the game timer hits the bottom with you still having words to find.

Survival Mode

You need to “defuse all the bombs & save the 8 ancient civilizations of the world from destruction.” How does this work into apuzzle game I am not really sure..Gameplay is trying to find words from a list in your grid, but some of the words on the list have a bomb icon next to them along with a timer that is ticking down. You need to find the bomb words before their respective timers run out or you won’t pass to the next round. The bomb words are the essentials, but finding other words from the list helps your overall score.

There is an additional little twist in survival mode. Finding words that are related to your list but are NOT in the list! ok, so let’s say in your list you have winter, summer, fall, the secret word would probably be "seasons". Find this word and you get a bonus, that simple :)

And at the end of each round of puzzles, there’s a bonus grid that plays out like the Arcade mode, where you have to find as many of the words from the list as you can before the fast timer runs out. You won’t lose if you don’t get them all; this is just for bonus points. One, not is during this mode there are things that will popup to make life more difficult, basically think of anything that could cover the letters..fun fun stuff!

Free Play Mode

This is a make that game to your liking mode. Choose from puzzle words or pair words. The difficulty scales as gamplay goes on.

multiplayer mode is for either two players on one system or up to four players on Xbox Live. The gameplay is, you guessed it,  trying to find words, while dropping “prop cards” on your opponent to make their job more difficult. That is reminiscent of a certain mode in Guitar Hero III ..naaa..

Ace Beginner—Get “5 Combos” in Arcade mode. (5 points)

Combo Expert—Get “30 Combos” in Arcade mode. (20 points)

Combo Master—Get “50 Combos” in Arcade mode. (30 points)

Ticker Beater—Successfully disarms a bomb within 5 seconds in Survival mode. (10 points)

Survival Expert—Disarming 6 bombs continuously without missing any of the Word Bombs in Survival mode. (10 points)

Survival Master—Disarming all the bombs & pass all the stages in Survival mode. (20 points)

Champion—Score 4000 points in Survival mode. (30 points)

Quick Draw—Receives first victories in 2-player battle mode. (10 points)

First Draw—First time completed in Live Ranking battles. (5 points)

Peak Performer—Score 1000 points in free play mode. (10 points)

3 Time Champ—3 wins in a row in Live Ranking battles. (20 points)

5 Time Champ—5 wins in a row in Live Ranking battles. (30 points)
