I’ve been extremely reluctant to buy LEGO Indiana Jones, even though I find LEGO Star Wars to be among my favorite games of the last generation. The titles were so fresh, funny, and accessible that I just couldn’t help but be lured in by their charm. However, the middling reviews and general sense of "eh" that pervades LEGO Indiana Jones has prevented me from ever seriously considering a purchase. Thankfully, committaphobes like me now have a chance to take a taste with no strings attached.
The demo for LEGO Indiana Jones has now appeared on Xbox Live, giving 360 owners the opportunity to sample Indy’s trip into Lego Land and knock around some blocky rats and snakes. While we would assume a PSN demo would be making the rounds as well, so far there’s no confirmation that such a demo exists.
I’m hoping that once I try the demo, I’ll better be able to appraise my eventual purchase or non-purchase of the game. Either way, I hope that the ancient knight guarding the Holy Grail will feel that I have chosen wisely.
