Ubisoft, one of the most well recognized names in video game publishing, has at last released it’s eagerly awaited Assassin’s Creed game for sale all across North America for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 game consoles. The game has already attracted much notice from the gaming community and gaming publications have had had nothing but praise for Assassin’s Creed. It has received a 9/10 from GameSpot, a 5/5 from GamePro, and a whopping 10/10 from PlayStation: The Official Magazine.
This pleasure in the game’s release is also shared by Tony Key, the senior vice president of sales and marketing for Ubisoft, who stated that “"Assassin’s Creed is an incredible experience unlike anything else available this holiday season and we’re thrilled with the buzz and attention the title has received.” Mr. Key also went on record as saying that Ubisoft expects “having a strong sell through for Assassin’s Creed and it’s exciting to push the industry with such a breakthrough title in terms of technology, design and story. The development team in Montreal set out to redefine the action-adventure category and we now know that they have accomplished their goal.”
Assassin’s Creed also features a limited edition version of the game which retails at $69.99 and contains a three inch statue of Altair, the protagonist of the game, comics drawn by Tycho and Gabe from Penny Arcade, a mini strategy guide and a bonus disk that includes the winners of the Assassin’s Creed short film contest, behind the scenes videos, trailers, interviews with the producer, diaries of the development team, downloads, and much more. Assassin’s Creed is rated M for Mature.
