Rock Band 2 Setlist Revealed
Posted by Brad Hilderbrand, 145 days ago Jul 14, 2008 16:33

At the big Microsoft event this morning, Alex Rigopolis, President and CEO of Harmonix, teased the crowd with a small sampling of Rock Band goodness. He first debuted the whole lineup onscreen in a font so small none of our puny cameras could take legible pictures of the writing, and then went on to outline some of the big tracks that would be featured in the game.

You’re going to want to sit down.

First up, we have proof that the long-rumored Guns n’ Roses album "Chinese Democracy" does exist, because a single from the disc will be in Rock Band 2. The game also features "Tangled Up in Blue" by Bob Dylan, as well as a track from one of the greatest rock acts of all time, AC/DC. For those speculating what song will make an appearance, prepare to feast your eyes (and ears) on the sheer epic-ness of "Let There Be Rock."

Rigopolis confirmed that there would be over 100 songs included in the disc, and that music from the original Rock Band would be forward compatible. All DLC will be transferrable, as will "most" of the original’s disc soundtrack. We’re curious to find out what "most" means, since it’s obviously less than "all," but even so, most is better than "none."

Anyway, the game will feature over 500 songs by the holidays in both the retail setlist and DLC, so you should have plenty to keep your fingers, toes, and vocal chords busy. And if all that isn’t enough, then just go start a real bad, for cripes sakes.
