Sometimes, one of the most fun things about this job are reading press releases. Usually, they’re pretty dry and boring, but sometimes, as in the case with Legendary, they actually make you laugh. And then, there’s even helpful information crammed in between the puns that you can actually use! Score!
In this particular presser, we have learned that Legendary has been officially dated for a September 30th release, and that if you pre-order now, you can get some extra goodness for your troubles. Namely, an art book compiled by Steven Firchow, Legendary’s art director, as well as a DVD complete with videos, trailers, and other "eye candy."
Finally, the team has announced the existence of a graphic novel to accompany the game, so all you readers out there can get yet another angle on Deckard’s fight against all things creepy and mythological. The book is being written by Mark Waid, and should be available for purchase at the same time as the video game.
Be sure to check out our preview of Legendary to get your fill of tips on werewolf hunting and minotaur slaying. The game’s coming down the pipe soon, and you’re going to need all the help you can get in fighting the forces of evil. Here’s a hint: shotguns and crossbows are much more effective than holy water and prayers.
