Target will sponsor the first-ever Guitar Hero 2 event during Entertainment for All Expo (E for All). During the three-day Guitar Hero event, E for All attendees will have the chance to win their share of cash prizes and Target gift cards. With a total of $8,000 in winnings up for grabs, competitors will have to impress the judges and wow the audience by rocking out to the sounds of Guitar Hero 2. Additionally, fans can get their hands on Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock before it launches later this month.

Troy Peterson, Senior Buyer at Target commented, ’’There are a lot of different types of gamers out there, but Guitar Hero has become a phenomenon among both hardcore and casual players alike. Like E for All itself, this tournament is open to everyone, and we can’t wait to see the caliber of pure rocking talent that this event is bound to bring out.’’

E for All attendees will have the chance to participate in qualifying rounds Thursday, October 18, through Saturday, October 20, at Guitar Hero 2 kiosks located on the show floor. Qualifiers from Thursday and Friday will compete in semi-finals on a Special Guitar Hero stage, with a "Best Performance" award given at the Tournament Area Main Stage on Friday at 6pm. Semi-finals will continue on Saturday to identify the top eight performers, who will then contend for the Championship on Saturday afternoon at 3pm. Championships will be judged by video game experts such as competitive gaming legend Sundance Giovanni, Tommy Tallarico of Video Games Live, and one of the several professional gamers who will be in attendance.

Mary Dolaher, CEO of IDG World Expo added, ’’We’re delighted that Target will host this exciting Guitar Hero 2 event for E for All attendees. Just like this special Guitar Hero 2 event and the pre-launch access to Guitar Hero 3, E for All is all about fun and games. We’re looking forward to watching attendees rock out and play on this week at this terrific new addition to E for All.’’
