This Wednesday’s Xbox Live Arcade release brings N+ (the N standing for Ninja), a new version of the Adobe flash freeware game developed by Metanet Software. The gameplay features classic 2D action/platformer gameplay utilizing three key movements: moving left, right, and jumping. N+’s modern twist is the introduction of realistic physics based controls, as well as ridiculously funny rag doll animations. Although the gameplay may be simple in its design, you will never have to worry about running out of new challenges, as N+ comes with over 300 unique levels, and also includes a built-in level editor. Additional level packs that have previously been released for the PC version have also been confirmed for eventual release on Xbox Live.
N+’s multiplayer consists of both cooperative and adversarial gameplay, with modes such as survival, race, and co-op. All of these multiplayer modes are available for local play, as well as Xbox Live. Also, your completion time for each level is recorded and posted on a leader board for everyone to see who the true ninja is. N+ is rated E 10+ by the ESRB and will be available for 800 MS points (10 US dollars) starting February 20, 2008. However if you just can’t wait till then, you can always download the freeware version for your PC here. (http://www.thewayoftheninja.org/n.html)
