Sierra Entertainment announced today that 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, the sequel to the, and these are their words not mine, “hit” 50 Cent: Bulletproof is in development for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The story so far goes a little something like this. 50 and company perform a show in the Middle East, but the unscrupulous concert promoter refuses to pay them. After some roughing up, the promoter hands over a crystal skull, which holds some sort of ancient mystery. Obviously one Jones, Indiana is going to be pissed about this.
While it’s hard to make a game worse than the original, the folks at Sierra seem determined to turn the franchise around and make something worthwhile this time. New gameplay elements such as drop-in and drop-out co-op, driving and aerial combat mean that this time the game might just be more about mindless shooting with questionable mechanics.
Joining 50 will be the rest of G Unit crew, including Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and DJ Whoo Kid. They will all be lending their likenesses and voices to the game, because if 50 is going to bust some heads, he may as well do it with his friends.
In addition to lending his likeness, Mr. Cent will also be releasing some exclusive music into the game, so if nothing else, hip-hop fans will get another dose of 50 flavor. No word yet if the Blood on the Sand comes with a coupon for a free bottle of Cristal or Vitamin Water.
For those who need to experience this game but can’t afford a next-gen rig (gotta hustle harder son!) fret not, Blood on the Sand is also being prepped for release on mobile phones as well.
