One of Microsoft’s biggest games this summer isn’t a shooter. It’s not a racing game. It’s not even an RPG. It is in fact, Team Ninja’s and Tomonobu Itagaki’s very own hack and slash masterpiece, Ninja Gaiden 2, which will be arrive at retailer’s worldwide in June. Microsoft has announced that a Demo will be arriving on Xbox Live Marketplace in May, so that you can try it out before you buy.
The demo was announced back at Microsoft’s GDC 2008 conference, but all we had was a video of someone playing it. Since then everything was quiet on the demo front, until today.
According to Microsoft, the demo comprises of a single level, which has you “Guide Ryu on his mission to avenge his clan.” That doesn’t really leave us with a whole lot to go on, but it will probably be the same demo from GDC 2008 that Tomonobu Itagaki was demonstrating.
Ninja Gaiden 2 is the sequel to the widely acclaimed original, which some argue is the hardest, if not best game on the original Xbox.
