At the MI6 wrap up celebration, some of video game’s marketers were awarded for their marketing achievements. Among the winners for successful launch campaigns of games were 2K with Bioshock, Ubisoft with Assassin’s Creed, Microsoft with Halo 3 and Activision with Call of Duty 4. After seeing the developers honored back at GDC, it’s good to see the people who let the world know about their companies’ respective games get recognized for their hard work as well. They were recognized in special individual presentations shown to attendees during the festivities.
The show itself took the shape of an upbeat, streamlined show with winners walking away with Gold and Silver Muse statues. Among the varied awards were “most effect attention getter,” and “don’t you wish you thought of this.” There were many other winning companies, including EA, Midway Games, Vivendi Games, Hammer Creative and Silverstein & Partners.
MI6 General Manager Jill Lindeman said this about the conference.
"Every year, the MI6 Conference attracts more and more support and participation from game marketing, advertising and entertainment companies large and small. Through our awards competition, the best work continues to shine through and we’re thrilled to be able to call out the industry’s true marketing superstars at this special event,"
The Peer-judged MI6 Awards rounded up the two day event, where top executives from some of the biggest game developers and publishers participated, including Microsoft, Sony, Ubisoft, EA, LucasArts, 2K, Midway and THQ, among others.
