You would have thought that after the uproar over the horse armor put up for sale in Elder Scroll’s IV: Oblivion, game companies (other than EA) would have known better than to exploit the digital marketplace in such ways. This doesn’t seem to be the case with Microsoft themselves, who are publishing the next iteration of Team Ninja’s famed action series, and will be releasing three costume packs for dear old Ryu.
After this initial news Microsoft did come out and address the issue by explaining that the 200 point pack will contain not just one, but five costumes. What may aggravate some North American gamers is that consumers in Europe will have the option of getting a free key to access this DLC if they pre-order the game. While having more than one costume in a pack is slightly less egregious, a skin is a skin, and hopefully Team Ninja will have some more interesting content down the road other than new threads.
